Our aim is to create an effective link between families who choose this educational method and the Italian educational institutions,
with the goal of creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

Our mission is to protect, promote, and spread education in all its forms as a tool for social development and learning.
We believe in the educational potential of free play and the importance of personalized, flexible, and inclusive education that respects the diverse needs of students.

How was your education?

Do you remember the weight you felt walking into class, that knot in your stomach that tightened every time someone laughed behind your back? The school environment, with its rigid rules and high expectations, has often turned enthusiasm into anxiety, transforming the desire to learn into a race for approval.

In every hallway, in every classroom, there are children and adolescents fighting a silent battle filled with judgments, comparisons, and sometimes humiliation. This system, meant to nourish the mind and spirit, can leave scars that last a lifetime.

From Learning Pods, which foster socialization, to Libere Ludere, which creates safe spaces for teens to grow and engage authentically, to our home education programs that place the family at the heart of the educational journey. Our Mission

Libera Schola Foundation was created to build this dream. We want every child to have the chance to grow in an environment where learning is a joy, not an obligation; where socializing is a pleasure, not a source of anxiety; where each student feels safe, loved, and free to be themselves. A society where the wounds of childhood don’t become scars in adulthood but solid roots from which to flourish. Our mission is pursued through the protection and support of home education and the families who practice it, the opening of schools that embody these values, and the organization of in-person and online events, educational trips, and gatherings that reflect our ideals.

What do we do

Education and Training 

We offer online academic support and personalized assistance to students engaged in home, hospital, or travel education, providing tailored educational guidance that respects each student’s specific needs.

In addition, we organize educational and training events for adults, teens, and children, promoting an inclusive and flexible learning model. These events highlight the importance of respecting each individual’s learning pace and style, fostering an education that values the unique potential of every student.

Educational Innovation

We collaborate with schools to introduce educational innovations and courses that emphasize free play and divergent thinking.

We promote the creation of educational circles to support diverse, democratic, and nature-based learning practices.

We also support the growth of *Learning Pods* in libraries, providing accessible spaces where young people can learn and socialize flexibly and collaboratively. We advocate for outdoor learning as well, convinced that direct experiences in nature are essential for children’s development. With your support, we can expand these initiatives, creating new, inclusive, and innovative educational opportunities.

Special projects

Libere Ludere: A project designed to elevate free play as a fundamental educational tool. Through unstructured play activities, children can explore their surroundings, develop creativity, autonomy, and problem-solving skills—all in an environment that encourages collaboration and interaction with peers. Libere Ludere promotes a learning approach that respects each child’s unique pace and inclinations, allowing children to grow naturally and peacefully.

Libera Schola: An ambitious initiative aimed at establishing innovative schools founded on the principles of inclusive education, respect for individual differences, and free play as a method of learning. The project seeks to create a new educational model that places the person at the center, fostering active, dynamic learning in harmony with the community.

Exchanges and Study Trips

The Libera Schola Foundation enthusiastically promotes student exchanges and study trips, recognizing these experiences as a unique opportunity to enrich the educational journey for both traditionally schooled students and homeschoolers. These programs provide a chance to broaden cultural and personal horizons by immersing students in new and stimulating environments. International exchanges and study trips not only foster intercultural learning but also serve as a valuable opportunity to develop key skills such as adaptability, communication, and teamwork.

Participating in these initiatives allows young people to experience new perspectives, engage with diverse cultures, and grow academically and personally. Moreover, these experiences promote the development of greater global awareness, encouraging an openness that will help them become true citizens of the world.

Environmental Education

Intergenerational interaction

Libera Schola Foundation  promotes intergenerational learning, creating opportunities for exchange and growth between young people and the elderly. Through shared projects, young people can tap into the valuable wealth of knowledge and experience of older generations, enriching their educational journey.
At the same time, older adults find new inspiration and ideas through the energy and creativity of younger generations.
